Services for Jimmy Gerald Vogt, 87, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Ada First Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Jarrod Presley will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Vogt passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at a Seminole Care Center. He was born December 23, 1937 at Ada, Oklahoma to John Paul and Oklahoma Potter Vogt. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1955 to 1963.

Mr. Vogt served as a Mail Carrier for the U. S. Postal Service from 1966 – 1995. After his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, bowling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Vogt and wife Yvonne of Kelleyville, OK; two daughters, Robin Hanrahan and husband Scott of Oklahoma City, OK and Colleen Ware and husband Houston of Ada; his fifteen grandchildren, Miranda Vogt, Matt Vogt and wife Jennifer, Julie Duncan and husband Zach, Jake Walker and wife Amber, Sarah Smith and husband Brian, Jimmy Vogt, Jr. and wife Dreama, Sam Vogt and wife Hayley, Shandon Birks and wife Catherine, Tori Meyer, J. Michael Meyer and wife Tori, Khortni Foster, Paula Hopper and husband Aaron, Tyler Ware, Hayden Ware, and Sage Hanrahan; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Oklahoma “Curley” Vogt; brothers, Dempsey, Kenneth and Louis; a daughter, Kathy Kay Foster; a great-granddaughter, Maci Vogt; and longtime companion, Joyce Summers.

Bearers will be his grandsons, Matt Vogt, Jake Walker, Sam Vogt, Shandon Birks, J. Michael Meyer; and great-grandson, Shane Rettig.

Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Vogt, Jr., Tyler Ware, and Hayden Ware.
