Services for Charles C. Sutton, 85, of Pickett are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Abba’s House Church of God, Revs. Ken Angel and David Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Sutton passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at his home. He was born October 20, 1934 at Center, OK to Alfred and Edith Farr Sutton. He graduated from Vanoss High School.
He married Ruth Blankenship March 24, 1956 in Ada. Mr. Sutton worked for Howard Sheet Metal and had also worked in the Maintenance Department at the Social Services Center. He was a member of Abba’s House Church of God, served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a member of the Cattlemen’s Association and had served for 6 ˝ years with the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of the home; two daughters, Carletta Barnes and husband Dean, Pickett and Donnetta Nelson and husband Gary, Carrollton, TX; a son, Kevin Sutton, Pickett; three brothers, David Sutton, McKinney, TX, Delton Sutton and L. W. Butch Sutton, both of Pickett; two sisters, Elwanda Kelso, Purcell and Donis McDonald, Pickett; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Paul Sutton; and a sister, Evelyn King.
Bearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.
Honorary bearers will be David Sutton, Delton Sutton, Wendell Raper, Harry Tunnel and Israel Guerrero.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1840 Old Spanish Trail, Houston, TX 77054.
