Services for Arie Lovina Ross (Meme), 84, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Chad Large will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ross died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at her home. She was born March 17, 1937 in Lula to Oather and Cecil Annie Cooper Reed.
She married the love of her life, Perry Don Ross July 5, 1958 in Ada. Mrs. Ross attended Red Oak School, then graduated from Tupelo High School where she was their star basketball player, coached by the late Lonnie Abbott. She was a homemaker while her children attended school, then later worked for various local businesses including General Tire and Clopay Overhead Door Co. Mrs. Ross was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. Family always came first and her grandkids and great-grandkids were her world. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, spending time at their lake place, spoiling her grandkids, and was famous for her home canned dill pickles.
Survivors include her husband, Perry Don Ross, of the home; daughter, Shelly Ann Reich, of the home; son, Rickey Don Ross and wife Pam of Ada; five grandchildren, Krystal Harrison and husband Shad, Ada, Stephanie Manuel, Ada, Amanda Lusby and husband Paul, Skiatook, Kimberly Manuel, Ada and Lane Flanagan, Ada; nine great-grandchildren, Trevor Harrison and Jayme, Patrick Harrison, Connor Harrison, Asher Rudd, Ayla Hurley, Remington Flanagan, Axel Flanagan, Rhian Lusby and Kenton Lusby; bonus grandkids, Ashden Rowell, Jaylen Rowell, Baby Aceden and Sissy dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
Bearers will be Gary Matlock, Lane Flanagan, Paul Lusby, Shad Harrison, Trevor Harrison and Patrick Harrison. Honorary Bearers will be Charles Dortch, Jerry Cannon, Connor Harrison, Ashden Rowell and Vernon Manuel.
