Services for Brian Pruitt, 41, are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, OK. Rev. Jaymeson Kennedy will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Brian passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.
Brian was born November 28, 1981, to Ronnie and Marsha Pruitt in Ada. He was preceded in death by his father Ronnie Pruitt in 1985. Brian spent his childhood in Nowata, OK with his brother Jared Stark, sister Kacie Maloy, and honorary brother Samuel Boughner.
Brian graduated from Nowata High School in 2000. Having attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, and East Central University in Ada, OK, Brian went on to earn his certification as a personal trainer where he worked alongside his fiancé Erica. He encouraged many people that worked with him to lead healthier lives.
Brian met his best friend and future fiancée Erica Whitelock in 2013. He had three children Braeson Pruitt, Kolen Pruitt, and Adrian Hart. Brian resided with Erica and Adrian in Tulsa, OK.
Brian’s passion in life was his family, his friends, and his faith in God. Brian loved the outdoors and spent his free time riding his skateboard and motorcycle as well as traveling and camping. Brian was a strong presence that left on impact on all that knew him.
Survivors include his fiancé, Erica Whitelock; two sons, Braeson Pruitt and Kolen Pruitt; daughter, Adrian Hart; mother and stepfather, Marsha and Dwaine Stark; brother, Jared Stark and wife, Kristin; sister, Kacie Maloy and husband, Brett; grandmother, Evon Stark; and many loving relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Pruitt, and grandparents, Dexter and Yvonne Pruitt.
Bearers will be Samuel Boughner, Sean Hardani, Kenan Bryant, Mitch Stinchcomb, Jared Stark, and Brett Maloy.
