Services for Dan Earl Northcutt, 81, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Ada First Baptist Church, Dr. Pat Kilby and Revs. John Haynes and Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. Northcutt passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home. He was born November 9, 1936 at Wewoka to Perry and Eula Moore Northcutt. He attended Hayes Elementary School and graduated from Ada High School. Dan attended Oklahoma State University where he was a Running Back for the OSU football team. He graduated with a degree in Geology with a Minor in Math. He married Ann Coleman Crawford October 23, 1983 at the Ada First Baptist Church. Mr. Northcutt was a Geologist and Executive Vice-President for Harrison Gypsum until his retirement. He served on the Board of Directors for Valley View Regional Hospital for 30 years and had served in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Ann, of the home; daughter, Lynn Barron and husband Randy; son, William “Bill” Northcutt and wife Sari; daughter-in-law, Bea Kay; son, David “Dusty” Crawford and wife Cara; Son, Chris Crawford; two brothers, Dwayn Northcutt and Jerry Northcutt; sister, Linda Winchell; and his grandchildren, Josh Barron, Jake Northcutt, Coleman Crawford, Chandler Crawford, Sydney Northcutt, Desiree Westrom, Darci Westrom, Cole Townsend and Reed Townsend. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Rick Northcutt. Bearers will be his grandchildren, Josh Barron, Jake Northcutt, Coleman Crawford, Reed Townsend, Cole Townsend, Chandler Crawford and Sydney Northcutt. Honorary bearers are Dave Good, Jim Dicus, Ken Johnson, Dr. Charles Mettrey and the staff and friends at Harrison Gypsum. The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P. O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
