Graveside services for Joan Juanita Murray, 78, of Ada are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery; the Rev. Bud Ross will officiate.

Mrs. Murray died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at a local nursing home. She was born Nov. 7, 1936, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Ernest Marion Worthen, Sr. and Bessie Mae Clinton Worthen. She attended grade school in St. Joseph, Missouri, and graduated from high school in Long Beach, California.

She married Jerry I. Murray in 1956 at Reno, Nevada. She and her husband moved to this area in June 1956 from Long Beach. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry of the home; a son, Billy Murray of Ada; a daughter, Patsy Murray of Ada; grandson, Eric Murray of Ada; four sisters, Marion Quintal, Anaheim, California, Helen Hardin and Judy Forsberg, both of Branson, Missouri, and Mary Sanders, Anaheim; and a brother, Ernie Worthen, Jr. of St. Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kay Cunningham.
