Services for Anita Rodgers Miller, 97, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Brian Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at a nursing home in Oklahoma City. She was born May 30, 1920 at Quinton to Raymond M. and Milre Edwards Rodgers. She graduated from Quinton High School, attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and graduated from East Central State College in Ada.
Anita worked at Spartan Aircraft in Tulsa for three years. She married Jack O. Callahan in 1945 and they lived in Washington State for several years. She returned to Oklahoma and was employed by the First National Bank and Trust Co. in Ada from 1954 until her retirement in 1981.
She married F. Joyce Miller June 13, 1981 in Ada. He preceded her in death September 7, 1998. Mrs. Miller was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ada, a volunteer at Valley View Regional Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Healthy Heart Club. She was a member of the Fine Arts Dept. of the Tanti Study Club and also the Order of Eastern Star #78. She was also a fifty-year member of Beta Sigma Phi.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Scott and husband John of Oklahoma City; one step-daughter, Mary Ann Wagner of Tulsa; two grandsons, Sean Burton and wife Abigail of Crescent and Jeremy Burton and wife Christina of Oklahoma City; her step-grandchildren, Eric Wagner, Jason Wagner, Chuck Warren, Curt Warren and Margo Hayes; and two great-grandchildren; and numerous step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and step-daughter, Eva Jo Warren of Rockdale, TX.
