Services for Mary Francis Kite, 89, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ on west 33rd street in Ada, Roy Deering will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kite went to be with the Lord Monday, April 9, 2018 at a local nursing home. She was born May 5, 1928 at Hereford, TX to Oscar and Dora Palmer Whitson. She attended Vanoss schools.
She married Hollis Luther Kite on March 6, 1947. He preceded her in death July 17, 2006 at Oklahoma City. Mrs. Kite was employed with Drs. Harvey and Bruce Hall Dental Office as a receptionist, retiring after 42 years of service. She was a member of Galey Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Smith and husband Ron of Ada; two sons, Don Kite and wife Pam of Ada and Steve Kite and wife Kathy of Aledo, TX; four grandchildren, Angie Pettigrew and husband Wayne of Ada, Melinda Smith and husband Nathan, Ada, Becky Humphers and husband Jeremy, Norman and Holly Williams of Ada; six great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kenady Humphers, Norman; Casady Burns, Jordan and Tyler Smith, Ada, and Libby Williams, Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Opal Bivins and Lenora Berryman; and two brothers, Steve Whitson and Henry Whitson.
Bearers will be Nathan Smith, Jeremy Humphers, Sando Hill, Kendall Holland, Jacob Humphers and Jordan Smith. Honorary bearers will be Buddy Brents, Wayne Pettigrew, Daniel Sanders, Charley Berryman, James Prince and Charles Hill.
