Lula Beatrice (East) Keeling

Services for Lula Beatrice Keeling, 95, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Earl Blankenship and Joe Swint officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Keeling died Friday, July 2, 2010, at a local nursing home. She was born Aug. 26, 1914, at Oakman Community to Ocie Ola and Callie Fox East.

She attended Egypt schools. Mrs. Keeling was a homemaker and babysitter, a member of the Maxwell Holiness Church and Union Hill Homemakers Club.

She married Albert Lee Keeling on Jan. 9, 1932, at the Egypt Community. He died Feb. 11, 1988.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Jean Coplen and husband Charles, Ada and Thaddues Smith, Ada; one sister, Elva Kareer, Newalla; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Lonnie, George and T.W. East; three sisters, Lela Morrison, Johnnie Little, and Ara Belle Hobbs; and a son-in-law, George William Smith.

Bearers will be Debra Powell, Basil Coplen, Kevin Coplen, William Smith, Robbie Smith, and Danny Powell.
