Services for Helen Doris Jaquess, 83, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Rev. Brian Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jaquess passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at an Ada hospital. She was born September 10, 1934 at Ada to Garner and Elva Jane Fennell. She graduated from Vanoss High School.
She married W. D. “Bud” Jaquess September 26, 1952. He preceded her in death March 31, 2000. Mrs. Jaquess had been a retail clerk at the Smart Shop in Ada for many years. She was also a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hill and her husband Troy of Ada; three grandchildren, Mickella Smith, Christopher Armstrong and wife Erika, and Aryn and Tyler Kirby ; and two great-grandchildren, Presli and Jaxli Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Jewell Humphrey.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Christopher Armstrong and Tyler Kirby; and Phillip Cravatt, Corey Drennen, Scott Allison and Matt Smith.
