Services for James Carroll “Jim” Holt, 86, of Ardmore, formerly of Ada, are 10:00 AM on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Holt passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Ardmore. He was born January 30, 1938 in Ardmore to Forrest Hughey and Lenora Holt.
On July 3, 1960 he married Barbara Lou Holt. She preceded him in death February 28, 2005. Mr. Holt was a machine operator for Brockway Glass until his retirement, and later was employed with Ada Schools in maintenance and grounds keeping. He served in the Army Reserves. Mr. Holt lived in Alaska from 2010 until 2017, moved to Texas and then back to Ardmore, where he was born.
Survivors are his son, James Brent Holt and wife Janna, of Lone Grove; daughter, Stacy Foshee and husband, David, of Fairbanks, Alaska; grandchildren, Rebekah Hobbs, Corey Holt, Brandon Holt, Brittany Holt and husband, Jason, Jake Foshee, Zoe Foshee, and Ben Foshee; great grandchildren, Gavin Hobbs, Brooklin Hobbs, Myka Holt, Rowan Holt, Millie Holt, and Kaia Fear; and two great great grandchildren, Alaiyah Jade Hobbs and Daniel Ray Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Bearers are Jake Foshee, Jason Fear, Brandon Holt, Gavin Hobbs, David Foshee, and Ben Foshee. Honorary bearers are Joe Lee Walker, Roger Lancaster, Paul Abbott, Gerald Ford, Tommy Redman, and Glen Griffin.
