Services for Doyle Eldon Flatt, 76, of Ada are 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood and Rev. John Henry Lippard will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday.

Mr. Flatt passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was born November 3, 1947, in Stroud, OK to Glen and Kathryn Brown Flatt.

Mr. Flatt attended schools in Shamrock, OK before moving to Drumright, OK where he graduated in 1966. On December 21, 1967, he married Shirley Fox in Drumright, OK.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from August 1967 to August 1969. During his service, he received the Bronze Star Medal for bravery. Mr. Flatt. was a pumper in the oilfield until his retirement.

He loved riding dirt bikes, slow pitch softball, auctions, and trail riding on the river.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Flatt, of the home; one son, Brian Flatt and wife Shannon, of Stonewall; one brother, Dwain Flatt and wife Dracy, of Drumright; sister-in-law, Marilyn Flatt, of Drumright; brother-in-law, Bob Moyer, of Vinita; one grandson, Tristan Wagnon; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Flatt was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dwitt Flatt; and two sisters, Debbie Collyar and Denise Moyer.

Bearers are Brian Flatt, Tristan Wagnon, Derek Flatt, James Collyar, Chris Moyer, Larry Fox and Larry Miller.
