Services for Louie Afton Duyck, 94, of Plano, TX will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Richardson Church of the Nazarene, 2101 E. Renner Rd., Richardson, TX 75082. A Viewing will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on the day of the service. A graveside service with a 21 gun salute will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 12481 SH-19, Ada, OK 74820.

Mr. Duyck went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 26, 2021. L.A. was born on November 11, 1926 in Ada, OK to Basil and Lou Duyck. He was employed by Kelvinator Appliances a division of American Motors. He also worked at Rolling International Mobile Home Sales for many years. He retired from Preferred Risk Life Insurance Company after many years. L.A. served in the United States Navy during WWII participating in five major battles in the Pacific Theatre. In 2010, he was awarded a medal of Valor at Pearl Harbor Naval Base for his services in the Pacific.

L.A. enjoyed being outdoors. He loved fishing. He was always up for a good “western”!! L.A. was quite the jokester…he would kid and cut up with anyone. He was a great handyman, he could fix just about anything! He honored his vows to his wife of 71 years. He set an amazing example for his family in his devotion to her, especially in her last years. He shared God’s word with his children and grandchildren or anyone that would listen. For several years, he even preached Sunday mornings at The Waterford where he lived. He loved the Lord and that was evident in all that he did!

L.A. was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Anne Duyck of 71 years; his father, Basil and mother, Lou; his sister, Emogene Orebaugh; a grandson, Caleb Duyck; a granddaughter, Amy James; a great granddaughter, Chloe Duyck and a great grandson, Isaiah Duyck.,br>
He was survived by his five sons, Larry and Terri Stahl, Lanny and wife Mary, Leland and wife Donna, Lyle and wife Lynn, John and wife Kathie. He has 20 grandkids and 32 great grandkids.

Pall Bearers will be Justin Duyck, Jared Duyck, Joel Duyck, Jeremy Duyck, Grayson Duyck, Josh Duyck, Jordan Duyck, Will Duyck and Steven Lipscomb.

The family request that everyone please wear a mask.
