Barry Arthur Chronister, 68, passed away at his home Saturday, September 14th. He was born June 27, 1956 in Ada, Oklahoma to Robert and Shirley Chronister.

Barry graduated from Stonewall School in 1975.

He then enlisted in the U.S Army & was stationed in Bayreuth Germany. There he met his lady love Manuela Karen Schäff. They moved back to Ada and was married in 1981. He then started working in the oilfield until 1990 when he started working for the Ok hwy state dept. until retirement in 2014.

Growing up in the Fittstown / Ada area, he loved the outdoors, taking his family on vacations, camping and just spending time with family. He especially loved teaching his grandkids how to ride bikes, shoot guns, fish and swim. He loved having lunch dates with the grandkids and taking them for rides. He will always be remembered every Thanksgiving for his amazing dressing.

He was preceded in death by his brother Tony, his parents Robert and Shirley Chronister. He is survived by his wife Manuela Chronister, Brother Wayne Chronister, a daughter Sherly & husband Ben Coffey, son Jason Chronister, daughter in law Tammy Chronister, son Jesse and wife Renee Chronister, daughter Sofia Mendoza. 8 grandkids: Jacob, Zachary, Delaney, Brielle, Logan, Garrett, Tim and Nexus.

Visitation will be held at Criswell Funeral Home Monday Sept 16th 5-7pm.

Graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery Tuesday Sept 17th 10 am.
