Services for Michael Oodie Brown, 67, of Ada will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Benny Cope will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Michael departed this world for his Heavenly home on January 12, 2019. He was 67 years of age. Mike was born March 28, 1951 to Loe Luella Carroll Brown and Calvin Howard Brown, in Ada, Oklahoma. The Browns were long-time Ada residents and members of the Central Church of Christ.

Mike graduated from Ada High School, and later received a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Oklahoma. He married Anita Janelle Wallace on February 22, 1975, and they were blessed with three cherished daughters. While working full-time and supporting his family, Mike obtained a Master’s Degree of Pharmacology and ultimately his PhD from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He was a proud OU alumnus.

Over the course of his career, Mike served as a pharmacist at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Carl Albert Hospital in Ada, and the VA Hospital in Bonham, Texas. He always preferred a hospital setting, as it allowed him to be more involved with patient care. He was a highly intelligent man with a quick wit, a ready smile, and a kind heart.

Mike’s passing was preceded by parents, Calvin and Loe; sister, Carol Estes, and wife Janelle.

He is survived and remembered by oldest daughter, Lauren Masterson and husband James of Ada; middle daughter, Jennifer Wilmot and husband Robby of Maysville; youngest daughter, Kristen Morse and husband Judd of Bellingham, Washington; grandchildren, Joselyn, Hunter, Liam, Leslie, Thorin, and Thaine; brother, Rodney Brown and wife Lynda of Ada; sister, Saundra Orebaugh and husband Frank of Ardmore; sister, Sheila Curry of Norman; brother-in-law, Roy Estes of Norman; nephews, Tony, Russell and Richard Estes, Ron Brown, Alan Orebaugh and Austin, Tyler, Brady and Jordan Curry; nieces, Jeanette Estes Fite, Christy Brown Anderson, Brandy Orebaugh Agnew, Whitney Curry Villegas, Taylor Curry, and many other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

He will be tremendously missed.

Bearers will be Ron Brown, Russell Estes, Alan Orebaugh, Tyler Curry, Brady Curry and Jordan Curry.

Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.
