Mary Magdalene (Paine) Brassfield

Services for Mary Magdalene Brassfield, 78, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Brassfield died Friday, July 25, 2008 at her home. She was born October 11, 1929 in Ada to Jacob and Alice Bell Roberts Paine. She has lived in the Ada area all her life.

She married Johnny Brassfield Jr. on March 21, 1953 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Brassfield was a homemaker and had been employed at the Sugg Clinic and Valley View Regional Hospital, as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She has been a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church since 1960.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Brassfield Jr., of the home; two daughters, Judy Brooks and husband Brian, Ada, and Janet Bianchi and husband Robert, Allen, TX; two sons, Jim Brassfield, Ada, and Shawn Brassfield and wife Melissa, Ada; six grandchildren, Dion, Kim, Jordan, Allie, Jillian and Joelly; five great grandchildren, Chase, Brittany, Trevor, Brinn and Desten; two great-great grandchildren, Hayden and Case; one nephew, Bob Paine; and three nieces, Susie Gates, Sunnye Wingo and Bobbye Turnbo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Estelle Paine, and two sisters, Johnnye Rushing and Fannie Shirley.

Bearers will be Jim Brassfield, Shawn Brassfield, Brian Brooks, Robert Bianchi, Dion Brassfield, Russell Brundidge and Michael Brundidge.
