Beverley Bowen, age 84 died on May 31, 2024, after a short battle with pancreatic/liver Cancer.
She was born in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Wayne & Ruby Bowen. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister La Donne Latimer, niece Susie Latimer, step father Fred Schmid and longtime friend Delores Gorski.
Beverley is survived by nephews: Micheal Wayne Latimer and wife Julie, Douglas Keith Latimer and wife Sharon, Brian Thomas Latimer, Tammy Latimer, great-nieces Cassie Latimer and Jessica Oviedo and husband Tanis, great- nephews Thomas Latimer, Zach Caldwell and wife Lisa, great-great nephew Mac Oviedo, Adrian Oviedo, and Matthew Caldwell, great-great niece Lianna Oviedo, cousins Vance Bowen and Dale Wood and wife Jenny. She is also survived by longtime friends Gaylene Taylor, Nancy Wood, Connie Sly, Judy Sly, John Mc Clellan and many church friends and neighbors.
Beverley graduated from high school and college in Litte Rock Arkansas. After the U.A.- Little Rock. graduation she moved to Bellaire with her parents because her farther had a job transfer to the Houston area.
Beverley retired from Shell Oil Company, after working in the Financial and Exploration & Production areas for 30 years.
Some of her hobbies were: sports, jig saw puzzles, Bridge and other card games and travel. The girls have traveled all over the United States including Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico. Some the favorite trips were China cruising the Yangtze and the great wall, New Zealand and Australia and three European river cruises.
Beverley was a member of St Peter’s United Methodist Church, Katy, the Leftover Friends Class, and a longtime participant on the Care Team.
Celebration of Life service will be at St Peter’s United Methodist Church, Katy on June 5th at 2PM.

Visitation will be held at Criswell Funeral Home, 815 Arlington, Ada OK on Friday June 7th 12:00 to 1:30PM with a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada OK at 2PM where she will be buried next to her father, mother, and sister.
