Services for Patricia Jane Allison, 82, of Stonewall are 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Central Church of Christ. Bud Ross and Bill Day will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pat passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at her home in Stonewall. She was born November 6, 1940, in Ada, Oklahoma to Denzil “Pete” and Juanita “Nene” Wyche Sherrell.

Pat went to grade school in in Lawrence and graduated high school in Fitzhugh. She attended college at St. Anthony School of Nursing and the Oklahoma City and Central State College.

Pat married Ira Ralph Allison on August 29, 1957, at age sixteen. They were married over 61 years before Ira died January 13, 2019.

Before retiring, Pat spent over four decades of her professional life working as a Healthcare Administrator in Texas and Oklahoma.

Pat is survived by her son, Wayne Allison and wife Julie of Nichols Hills; her beloved only grandchild, Jake Allison, of both Ada and Fort Worth, TX; one brother, Wendell Sherrell of Ada; one sister Sandy Hooper and her husband, Dan, of Burleson, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins and dear friends.

Pat lived a wonderful life, was a role model for her family, loved her life, gardening, cooking, fishing, and making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and appreciated. She lived what she believed – that you stick to your principles, stand up for what’s right, and always try to help others. She had the gift to know how to make people – all people – feel special and appreciated.

Pat’s life and her energy was everyday full of love and compassion to family, friends, and strangers. She was immensely faithful and shared her faith with everyone. She was intelligent, bright, strong, and thrived on helping others. Her resilience was unmatched. Her strength remarkable. She will be dearly missed by her family and her uncountable friends.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Hooper, Billy Walker, Dillon Manuel, T.W. Estes, D.E. Sherrell, and Taw Sherrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you please consider a memorial to Compassion Outreach Center in care of Central Church of Christ, a charitable organization Pat helped found.

Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.
