Larry Glenn Woods was born Wednesday, February 14th, 1951 in Ada, Ok to Herman and Laverne Woods. He passed from this life on Saturday, May 27th, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 72.

Larry lived in the Ada area most of his life and worked at Pontotoc County District #2 for 22 years, retiring in 2010. He also served in the Navy from 1969 to 1971.

For the past 5 years Larry enjoyed living close to family in Wynnewood, and thoroughly loved "retired life". He was a wonderful handyman and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed working in his beautiful garden, pulling weeds every day and harvesting his vegetables. He was content sitting on the porch with his loving wife of 49 years, Doylene, telling stories and sharing funny jokes.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, oldest daughter Tonya George, and son in law Robbin George.

He is survived by his wife Doylene Woods, daughter Glenetta Bledsoe and husband Mitch; grandchildren Kaitlyn Brittain and husband Thomas, Derrek Thompson and husband Hunter, Max Bledsoe, and Makoy Bledsoe; great grandchildren Abrum Brittain, Axl Green, Millie Brittain, and Samson Thompson. Larry will also be deeply missed by his brother in laws, sister in laws, numerous nieces and nephews, and his cat T'Lee.

A graveside service celebrating Larry's life will be on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at 1:00 at Maxwell Cemetery in Oil Center. Pall bearers will be Hunter Thompson, Micah Martin, Axl Green, Makoy Bledsoe, Max Bledsoe, and Mitch Bledsoe.
