Services for Leroy Willoughby, 84, of Oil Center, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Center Free Will Baptist Church with Revs. Earl Hood and Jarrod Newby officiating. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.

Leroy died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Ada. He was born November 4, 1934 to Russell William and Dovie Susan Hale Willoughby in Byars, Oklahoma. Leroy attended Byars, Summers Chapel, Chisholm, and Vanoss public schools.

Leroy married Reva Sue Horton on August 13, 1955. After working in the oil fields of central Oklahoma and as a professional truck driver, Leroy and his wife owned and operated Willoughby Grocery and Gas Station in Stratford, Oklahoma. Leroy later operated Willoughby Peach Orchard in Oil Center and grew and sold vegetables locally until he was in his eighties.

Survivors include sisters Lavelle Nelson of Broken Arrow; Bonnie Lee of Ada; Elsie Wilson of Seminole; Barbara Sue Yeargan of Pauls Valley; daughters Debbie Willoughby, of Oil Center; Jan Newby and husband Jerrell, of Oil Center; Patti Cane and husband Morris, of Vanoss; Vickie Holt and husband Rocky, of Union Hill; and son Russell Willoughby, of Oil Center; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reva Sue Willoughby; brothers Marion, Dee, and Junior Willoughby; sisters Juanita Frantz, Bernice Edge, Lavern Strawn, and Mattie Delilah Willoughby; and grandson, Connor Hicks.

Pall bearers will include grandsons, Josh Newby; Erik Hatton; Lucas Cane; Michael Willoughby; Dal Willoughby; Dolton Holt; and Noah Willoughby.

Honorary pall bearers will include Larry Willoughby; John Booth; and great grandsons Blake and Riley Cooper; Erik Hatton; Tye, Jenx and Jude Newby; Bradley, Buddy, Brady and Benny Cane.
