Services for Nancy Jo McDaniel, 78, of the Oil Center Community, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, Revs. Drew Isaacs and Jerry Orsburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. McDaniel passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at her home. She was born October 2, 1938 at Valliant to Audrey George and Edith Teague Vanlandingham. She and her family moved to the Pickett area in the early 1950’s. She attended grade school at Pickett and graduated from Vanoss High School in 1956.

She married Jerry McDaniel July 7, 1956. Mrs. McDaniel was a secretary at Wickham’s Packing Company, later a secretary for J & S Trucking and a secretary-bookkeeper for Jerry McDaniel Trucking.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry, of the home; a son, Steve McDaniel and wife Phyllis of Ada; a daughter, LeeAnna Williams and husband Joe of Ada; five grandchildren, Justin and Megan McDaniel, Nina and Robbie Blair, Jerreck and Sadie McWilliams, Camdyn Williams and Caityn Williams; six great-grandchildren, Brayden, Braxton and Brooklyn McDaniel, Corbin and Carmen West, and Thomas Blair; three sisters, Alta Power of Hayworth, Audrey Vanlandingham of Ada and Mary Patton and husband Frank of Stonewall; and two brothers, Floyd Vanlandingham and wife Betty of Woodward and George Vanlandingham and wife Linda of Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Audrey George Vanlandingham, and her mother, Edith Grose.

Bearers will be Steve McDaniel, Justin McDaniel, Joe Williams, Robbie Blair, Jerreck McWilliams and Brayden McDaniel. Honorary bearers will be Clay Young, Stacey Robertson, Bill Bolin, J. B. Bolin and Sean Lackey.
