Services for Billy Mearl McDaniel, 86, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dan Cusher will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. McDaniel passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Fort Sam Houston Hospital in San Antonio, TX. He was born July 12, 1930 at Ada to Earl and Edith Brecheen McDaniel. He lived in this area and attended Vanoss schools.

He married Lucy Martinez in San Antonio, TX. Mr. McDaniel owned and managed Central Oklahoma Steel and Supply Company in Ada before relocating to San Antonio. He served 20 years OSI in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring in 1968. He was a member of the Ada Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy, of the home; two sons, Donald McDaniel and family of Texas and Charles David McDaniel and family of Arkansas; two step-sons, Gilbert Martinez and Rick Martinez; step-daughter, Lucy Lynn Towle; four grandchildren and their families, Tiffany Lockhart, Brandon McDaniel, Garrett McDaniel and Nicole McDaniel; and two brothers, Jerry McDaniel of Ada and Jody McDaniel of OK.

Bearers will be Donald McDaniel, Jody McDaniel, Brandon McDaniel, Scott McDaniel, Garrett McDaniel and Rick Martinez.
