Carolyn Holloway, age 73 of Grove, OK, and formerly of Norman, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Carolyn Marie Robinson was born August 6, 1947 in Norman, OK, the only child of Haskell and Merel (Kidd) Robinson. She spent her early years in Norman before her family eventually settled in Ojai, California, where Carolyn graduated from Nordhoff High School. From there she was off to college at Pasadena Nazarene Bible College where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Business. Looking for a change of pace and a fresh start, Carolyn headed back to Oklahoma. She started working at her uncle’s restaurant, Johnnie’s Mexican Food at the Sooner Mall. By chance, she met a young man named Michael Holloway. They were perfect for each other, and they both knew it. On February 16, 1980, Carolyn and Michael were married in Norman. They made their home in Norman, where they raised daughter, Carilyn and son, Terry while Carolyn worked as an accountant for the University of Oklahoma. After retiring from OU she owned and operated her own bookkeeping business, the Bottom Line. Carolyn was a gifted musician and spirited piano player, and she enjoyed helping Michael in their music ministry. She enjoyed spending the last few years watching sunsets and fishing near Grand Lake. She was an excellent mother, and never happier than the day she became a grandmother. She was a woman of great faith; she loved God and cared greatly for people. She will be dearly missed!
