Services for Larry Robert Henderson, 76, of Alvarado, Texas, formerly of the Ada area are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Union Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Colby Bryant will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Henderson passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his home. He was born September 9, 1942 in Morenci, Arizona to Herbert and Thelma McGuffy Henderson.
He married Shrrel Miller October 19, 1962. She preceded him in death June 4, 2000 in Ada. Mr. Henderson was a roofer and constructed steel buildings. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Edwana Thompson, of the home; his children, Shelley Mullins of Texas, Mark Henderson of Ada and Joy Pratt of Texas; two sisters, Virginia Miller of Ada and Betty Bendickson of South Dakota; three brothers, Jearl Henderson, Minnesota, Charles Henderson, Arizona and Steven Henderson, Minnesota; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry Robert Henderson, Jr. and wife Bonnie in 1995; two brothers, Marion Henderson in 2015 and Kenneth Henderson in 2013; and a great-grandson, Chase Killen in 2017.
Bearers will be Cody Gray, Kip Toles, Marcus Henderson, Chad Killen, Josh Pratt, Caleb Hodges, Jay Ward, Mark Willoughby and Mikie Hatton.
