Kent David Harris, AKA "Chicken Wing", of Ada, passed away February 27, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years.

Kent David Harris was born June 13, 1956 near Ardmore, Oklahoma to Jim Clay and Bonnie (Tompkins) Harris. He was raised in the areas of Pauls Valley, OK, Pampa, TX, and graduated from Zaragoza American High School in Zaragoza, Spain in 1974.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Later, after his tour of duty, he went to work in the oil field for several years before becoming an Over the Road Truck Driver. Ada has been his home for the past three years.

Kent was so much more, however, than mere facts in an obituary. Chicken Wing was a person full of love and laughter and it spilled out of him everywhere he went. He never failed to try to make people laugh and he always told people he loved them when leaving their presence. He will be greatly missed by so many throughout the country.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Clay and Bonnie Harris, two daughters Amanda Harris and Carey Jones, and a granddaughter, Makena June Harris.

Kent is survived by his fiancé, Shelley Reamy of Ada; five children, Jonathan Harris and wife, Brandi, of Pauls Valley; Dusti Harris of Wanette; Katelynn Sorenson and husband, Caleb, of Tulsa; Matthew Harris of Pauls Valley; Jennifer Harris of Wynnewood; two grandsons, J. W. Harris, and Major Harris; one brother, Rusty Harris and wife, Teresa, of Woodward; one sister, Sharon Brown and husband, Mitch, of Oklahoma City.

Those attending the services are requested to maintain social distancing and please wear a mask.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bishop Kelvin Copeland. Interment will be at Maxwell Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
