Services for Roy “David” Bicknell, 66, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at A Place of New Hope Calvary Church, Rev. Toby Willoughby will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Bicknell died Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born October 23, 1956 in Atoka to Roy Cecil and Almeta Penick Bicknell.
He married Rebecca Mae Gregory on February 10, 1996 in Ada. Mr. Bicknell served in the U. S. Army and later was employed as a truck driver for J & M Trucking.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca, of the home; one son, Terry Bicknell and wife Jeanne, Muskogee; two daughters, Tammy Gore and husband Chris, Ada, and Armanda Griffin, Coalgate; two sisters, Leasia McAnally, and Peggy Stark and husband Freddie, both of Atoka; six brothers, Lenny Bicknell and wife Holly, Coalgate, Ricky Bicknell, Oklahoma City, Jackie Bicknell, Denny Bicknell, Michael Bicknell and Jimmy Bicknell and wife Crickett, all of Atoka; Thirteen grandchildren Steven And Skyler Kenyon, Haley Gore, Stephanie Gore, Dakota James all of Ada, Chelsey Sims and husband of Shawnee, Annie Shaw and husband Isaiah, Lois and Gracie Sims all of Stonewall, Kali Duncan of Belt Montana, Gentry Matthews of Corpus Christy Texas , Kyra and Kinsley Bicknell of Muskogee, Craig Sutton of Coalgate; seven great-grandchildren, Isabella, Nova, Emmitt, Amberley, Riverlynn, Eve, And Paisley; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Danny and Billy Don Bicknell; sisters, Connie Dollar and Cynthia Bicknell; father-in-law, John Gregory; grandson, Trystin Sims; and great-grandson, Haven James.
Bearers will be Steven Kenyon, Dakota James, John Sutton, Chris Gore, Jesse Kenyon and Michael Hensley.
