Services for Larry Leon Archer, 74, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Abba’s House Worship Center, Revs. Ken Angel and Larry Murray will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Archer passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at an Ada hospital. He was born January 7, 1942 in Ada to Leonard Bryan and Myrtle Sunshine Norton Archer. He attended Vanoss schools and graduated from Vanoss High School.

He married Betty Sue Delozier April 20, 1962. Mr. Archer was a Crew Chief at Brockway Glass Company for 32 years. Later, he worked for O. G. & E. for three years in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Ada Church of God for over 40 years and loved to play the banjo.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue, of the home; one son, Dale Archer and his wife Kelly of Ardmore; three grandchildren, Logan Smith and Victoria and London Archer; two sisters, Lois McCoy and Jeanie Pisano, both of Hurst, TX; a brother, Lawrence Archer of Ada; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lewis Archer and Lindall Archer; a sister, Lillian Gammill; and one of the greatest sorrows was the death of Kimberly Sue Archer, his precious daughter.

Bearers will be Chris Ramey, James Ramey, Patrick Delozier, Mike Cathey, Danny Davis and Cody Bridgeman. Honorary bearers will be Paul Golden, Sidney Manuel, Darrell Newby and Raymond Taylor.
