Services for Jackie Ray Allen, 94, of Madill are 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.

Jackie came into this world a premature baby- a 6- month preemie weighing just a pound and a half. Survival was very rare in 1928. The doctor delivering him at home didn't record his birth because he thought he would not survive. Jackie Ray proved them all wrong, grabbing hold of life with gusto and holding on for the next 94 years. His last days were spent looking forward to reuniting with family and friends in heaven.

He was preceded in death by Shirley, his wife of 50 years; parents, Ollie and Mae Allen; 10 brothers and sisters and their spouses, Jesse and Lahoma Allen, Ethel and Monroe Waters, Richard and Ruth Allen, Ira and Lizzy Allen, Lynn and Ann Vita Allen, Elwood and Rainey and Leotta Allen, Bernice and Merle Tyler, Wanda, Don and Gigi Allen, and Connie and Hannah Allen; and 2 granddaughters, Elizabeth Chatman and Santana Fox.

He is survived by 3 children and their families, Susan Chatman and husband Leslie, Oklahoma City, Danny Allen and wife Kelly, Mead, OK, Toby Allen and wife Melissa, Broken Arrow, OK; 4 Grandchildren, Benjamin Morehouse and wife Sonja Garland, TX., Lewis Chatman, Tucson, AZ, Cory Ehrsam and wife Carrie, Eubank Kentucky, Jenna Acuna and Kevin Fox, Stonewall, OK; 8 great-grandchildren, Stathis Limberis, Reanna Watson, Isiah Watson, Trinity Watson, Josiah Chatman of Oklahoma City, Landon Caudill, Bentley Ehrsam, Ella Ehrsam of Eubank Kentucky, Gunner Ehrsam, Addilyn Ehrsam; and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins by the dozens.
