Services for Gary Dean Wofford, 58, Lula, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Rocky Point Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Glen Russell will officiate. Burial will follow at Lula Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Wofford died Friday, January 9, 2009 at his home. He was born February 5, 1950 at Allen, Oklahoma to Earl and Juanita Williams Wofford. He attended Allen schools and graduated from Allen High School.
Mr. Wofford was a Brakeman and Conductor for Burlington-Northern-Santa Fe Railway retiring after 35 years of service. He served in the National Guard from 1968 until 1969.
Survivors include one son, Craig Wofford and wife Jacki, Lula; one daughter, Jana Walley and husband Gerrad, Ft. Worth, TX; one sister, Billie Russell and husband Glen, Farris, OK; two brothers, Harold Wofford and wife Brenda, Allen, and Roy Wofford and wife Dana, McAlester; grandsons, Reed Heath Walley, Hoot Wilson and wife Treeva, and Jesse Wilson and wife Lora; and two great grandchildren, Bradon Wilson and Gavin Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Keith Alan Wofford, and a brother, Winfred Earl Wofford.
Bearers will be Ross Wofford, Shawn Wofford, Chuck Wofford, Brad Wofford, Chris Wofford, and Jamie Wofford. Honorary bearers will be Gerrad Walley, Ronnie Robinson, Jack Stewart, Bob Boyd, Frank Bynum, Randall LaFevers and David Wright.
