Services for Opal May Pipes, 99, of Richland Hills, TX, formerly of Roff are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery near Roff. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pipes passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at a Richland Hills, TX nursing home. She was born February 15, 1917 at the Hart Community, southwest of Ada to M. Elijah and Myrtle Summers Twyman. She attended Hart schools.

She married J. D. “Dick” Pipes October 25, 1931. He preceded her in death January 26, 1999. Mrs. Pipes was a cook for the Roff Schools and the headstart program and later a cook for the Senior Citizen Center at Roff. She was a longtime member of the Roff Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Emerson and her husband Steve of Roanoke, TX; a sister, Jean Irwin and her husband Leon of Latta; her grandchildren, Jerry David Pipes and wife Lezlie, Ronny Robert Pipes and wife Susan; Jefffory D. Hughes and wife Janessa, Casey James Hughes and wife Maureen, Rachelle Elizabeth Moreland and husband Ryan and Jennifer Ortiz and husband Mike; several great grandchildren; and her nieces, Stacy Oakley and husband Arlis and Sherry Maddux and her husband Don.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Patricia Halpin; son, Jerry Don Pipes; and a grandson, Michael Pipes.
