Services for Goldie McConnell, 88, are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Ernie Staggs will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. McConnell died July 22, 2014 at her home. She was born July 19, 1926 in Okemah, Oklahoma to John and Mary Stevens.

She married J.T. McConnell on January 18, 1943 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He died November 21, 2012. Mrs. McConnell worked as a nurse’s aid for Valley View Hospital for 17 years and she and her husband J.T. owned and operated Ada Septic Tank until retiring.

Survivors include four daughters; Mary McFarlin and husband Roy of Ada, Jackie Lewis and husband John L. of Sasakwa, Norma Berryman and husband Charlie of Ada and Virgie Mosley of Gaar Corner; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-children.

She was preceded in death by her husband J.T. and one daughter, Faylene McConnell.

Bearers will be Charles Berryman, Cason Teel, Rusty Hopper, Lewis Ragland, Doug Stevens and Ron Akers. Honorary bearers will be Josh Berryman, Bo Burk, Terry Don Teel and Steven Dawson.
