Services for Joshua (Josh) Michael Creel, 39, of Hawthorn, FL, formerly of Ada, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dean Stone will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery, near Roff.

Josh passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was born November 27, 1981 in Naples, Italy to Jerry Michael and Patricia Diane Jones Creel. He attended Latta schools and graduated from Latta High School in 2000. While at Latta, he played on the Latta Baseball team which won State in 1999. He attended Seminole State Jr. College and studied Sports Medicine/Athletic Training. He later attended school in Gainesville, FL and studied Physical Education. He helped coach softball/baseball.

Josh was a truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith and loved to hunt and fish with his kids (and they loved it).

Survivors include his children, Mason and Josslynn Creel of Gainesville, FL; his father, Michael Creel, Ada; brother, Chris Creel and family of Kenefic, OK; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Creel-O’Quinn; and step-father, Curtis O’Quinn.

Bearers will be Chad Collins, George Metcalf, Kyle Yahola, Eddie Collins, Zack Burns and Ryan Pierce.
