Services for Jewell Dean Carter, 72, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8.

Mrs. Carter passed away December 1, 2022 at her home. She was born May 16, 1950 in Maysville, OK to Louis Wesley and Minerva Ann Cauthren McCullar.

She married Michael Eugene Carter July 16, 1998 in Ada. He preceded her in death May 1, 2015.

She was a waitress for most of her life until 1986 where she became a machine tender at Solo for 20 years.

She is survived by her four sons, Alvis James Miller, of Ada, Ronald Lee McCullar, of Ada, Steven C. Miller and wife Kelly, of Austin, TX and Michael Dean Finch and wife Mandy, of OKC; one daughter, C. Renee Davis and husband Rick, of Ada; one brother, Wesley McCullar and wife Stacey, of Healdton, OK; 10 grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Loftin, Ty and Mallory Miller, Maleha Tatum, Vaughon Williamson, Miranda McCullar, Ace Finch, Riley Miller and Jay Countryman; three great grandchildren, Rowan, Nevaeh and Samuel and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Terry Lewis Miller; five sisters, Geneva Hunt, Leona Morrison, Ruth Ann Holman, Inez Koopman and Judy Mae Gibson; and 4 brothers, Jimmy Lee Gibson, Don Gibson, Frank Gibson, and Bill Gibson.
