Services for Freddie Merl May, 83, of Jesse are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Jesse Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. May passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born December 2, 1931 in Jesse to Rayford and Katie Murphy May. He attended Jesse schools.
He married LaVoise Hatton July 30, 1956. Mr. May was an oilfield mechanic and later retired as an auto mechanic. He served in the U. S. Navy in Guam from 1952 until 1954.
Survivors include his wife, LaVoise, of the home; two sons, Gary May of Houston, TX and Michael May and Robin Moore of Stonewall; a granddaughter whom he raised, Meagan May, of the home; and two sisters, Delcie Alexander of Oklahoma City and Valine Miller of Jesse.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill May and Pete May; and three sisters, Leona, Ella Rae and Lacrecia.
Bearers will be Greg Curtis, Bobby Hatton, Chad Miller, Billy May, Aaron Fox and David Mitchell.
