Graveside services for Margaret Ann Stone, 73, of Stillwater, formerly of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery at Stonewall. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada.
Mrs. Stone died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Bowling Green, KY. She was born August 21, 1942 in Stratford to Furman and Inez Standridge Gibson. She attended Stonewall schools and graduated from Stonewall High School in 1960. She studied at East Central University in Ada where she earned an associate degree in business.
Margaret married Charles James “Rocky” Stone December 19, 1961 at Dustin. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Mrs. Stone worked in various positions at Oklahoma State University and retired from the Office of Risk Management. Margaret was a steadfast volunteer at the Oklahoma Botanic Garden in Stillwater where she loved the fellowship of gardening.
Survivors include a son, Martin Stone and his wife Jolene of Bowling Green, KY and granddaughters, Laramie and Savannah of Bowling Green; and a son, Clay Stone of Stillwater, OK and grandson, Zachary of Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles James Stone, her parents, Furman and Inez Gibson of Stonewall and sister, Ruth Elaine Durbin of Oklahoma City.
