Services for Mary Sue Stacy, 73, of Stonewall are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Seth Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Stacy died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her home. She was born December 2, 1940 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to John Henry and Eva Mae McCurry Beevers. She attended school in Georgia, Enid and Honolulu, HI. She graduated from Central High School in Tulsa in 1959.
She married Jerry Stacy on November 3, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma. Mrs. Stacy was a licensed cosmetologist and later a sales clerk and cashier for Enterprise Company in Tulsa and Dillard’s also in Tulsa, and later for Blue Bell Mfg. Co. and K-Mart in Ada.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Stacy, of the home; two daughters, Karen Ames and husband Arthur of Stonewall and Donna Wood and husband Brian of Stonewall; four grandchildren, Roxanna Gantt, Stacy Blackwood, Holly Bingham and Devan Wood; a great grandson, Bryor Wood; and her step-father, William D. Shephard of Zanesville, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Alice Beevers, Geraldine Wilson and her twin sister, Melba Stockton.
Bearers will be Art Ames, David Bingham, Devan Wood, and Stanton Atkins.
