Laura "Louise" (Little) Roberts

Services for Laura “Louise” Roberts, of Stonewall, are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, OK. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral home.

She passed away April 30, 2022 in Ada, OK. Louise was born July 20, 1942 to Velma L. McLauglin and Lawrence L. Little in Lexington, OK.

She attended Catholic School and attended Dixon High School where she graduated in 1960. Louise went on to attend Murray State College in Tishomingo, OK where she met and married her husband of 60 years, Homer Ray Roberts on May 27, 1961. Louise and Homer settled in Shawnee, OK in the mid 1960’s. There Louise was active in the local Methodist Church. Louise also worked as a florist for a time and in art studio.

In 1971 Louise and her family moved to Sacramento, CA until 1981 when they returned to Oklahoma.

Louise enjoyed gardening and canning the food she grew.

Louise and Homer purchased property in Choctaw, OK in 1983. She was employed by Tinker A.F.B. Upon retirement Louise and Homer moved to Stonewall, OK. She was very active in the Stonewall Sports Programs and was a member of the Booster Club. Louise was an avid O.U. Sooners fan and wore the team logo most days.

She is survived by her husband, Homer Ray Roberts, Stonewall, OK; daughter, Nancy R. Chambers and husband Michael A. Chambers, California; son, Darien R. Roberts and wife Diane, MT; six grandchildren, Jennifer L. Thompson (Degenar), OK, Jacklyn N. Degenar, OK, Michael L. Chambers and wife Melanie, CA, John R. Degenar, OK, ReGina M. Hess and husband Skylar, OK, Jeffrey R. Degenar, OK; seven great-grandchildren, Kassidy O. Thompson, OK, Jericho Y. Thompson, OK, Abigail L. Degenar, OK, Madison G. Harris, OK, Cooper M. Hess, OK, Blake M. Hess, OK and Lincoln L. Chambers, CA; and sister, Wilma L. Crabbe.
