Services for Sonya Odet Owens, 50, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Keith will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery near Stonewall.

Ms. Owens passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at her home. She was born April 30, 1970 at Oklahoma City to Sidney Gail and Charlotte Diane Brown Owens. She graduated from Byng High School in 1989.

Ms. Owens was a Certified Nurse Assistant. She had worked at Ada Care Center, Ballard’s Care Center and Jan Frances Nursing Home. Ms. Owens was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Ada.

Survivors include her mother, Charlotte Owens, of the home; three aunts, Carolyn Owens Lively of Atwood, Diana Owens Sewell of Utah, and Phyllis Brown Daniels of Greenwood, AR; a sister, Cortnee Diane Owens-Reed, Ada; two nieces, Cassidy Gray, Oklahoma City and Destinee Reed, Ada; a nephew, Micah Owens, Ada; and her dog, “Baby”.

She was preceded in death by her father, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Bearers will be Travis Wilson, Heath Wilson, Zac Martin, Micah Owens, Ben Ivey, Sr., and Houcine Alimi. Honorary bearer will be Caden Wilson.
