Graveside services for Raymond “Dwayne” Moon are 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. His grandson, Jesse Cate will officiate. The family will receive friends at Criswell Funeral Home, Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Mr. Moon was 80 years, 2 months and 14 days old when he passed from this earth. He was born in Wynnewood, OK March 17, 1942.
He was a graduate of OSU with a Chemical Engineering degree which he used in the oil field working overseas and here in the USA. He was a member of the McAlester Scottish Rite, a Mason in the 32nd degree. He was proud to show that compassion to his son in law and grandchildren, Bruce, Jesse, Clayton, Dustin and Chandler Cate. He was a retired member of the Oklahoma Air National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Raymond Moon, February 1992; his mother, Audrey Carpenter Moon, December 2005; and a granddaughter, Whitney Bynum Howard, January 2020.
He is survived by his wife, Carla, of the home; daughters, Kathie and husband Bruce Cate, Carol and husband Allen Bynum and son, Carl Moon; grandchildren, Erik Cate and wife Jessica, Ashley and husband Matt Horne, Taylor Howard and fiance’ Melissa Bazzrea, Garth Bynum and girlfriend Courtney; Jesse Cate and wife Sarah, Clayton Cate and wife Tasha, Dustin and Chandler Cate and Branden and Lindsey Bynum; and 12 great grandchildren.
Bearers will be Garth Bynum, Brenden Bynum, Matt Horne, Clayton Cate, Dustin Cate and Chandler Cate. Honorary bearers will be Taylor Howard and Erik Cate.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Ada Shrine Club, Attn: Noble Joseph Nemecek III, PO Box 309, Allen, OK 74825.
