A Celebration of the life of Evelyn LaVelle Hill, 83, of Ada will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, her grandson, Brian Woodard will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery near Stonewall.

Mrs. Hill passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Ada Care Center. She was born February 10, 1935 at St. Louis, OK to O. D. (Odie) and Cecil Votaw Turpin. She and her family moved to Stonewall from St. Louis and she attended grade school and graduated from Tupelo High School. She also attended Draughn’s School of Business in Oklahoma City.

She married David Ray Hill April 29, 1954 in Asher. He preceded her in death July 22, 2011 at Oklahoma City. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, Patti C. Woodard and husband Gary, D. Mark Hill and wife Patti and Kelly A. Galbreath and husband Jimmy; her grandchildren, Brian Woodard and wife Julie, Crystal Heck and husband Odie, Lacey Farmer and husband Jeremy, Rowdy Hill, Cole Carter and wife Jessica, Craig Galbreath and wife Julie, Clay Galbreath and Marcus Hill; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Prince and Sherry Stonecipher; sister-in-law, Mary Turpin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Corenne Hill; a special friend, Kim Ward; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Charlene Turpin; brother, Ray Turpin; and a grandson, David Jason Hill.

Bearers will be Brian Woodard, Rowdy Hill, Cole Carter, Clay Galbreath, Odie Heck and Jeremy Farmer.

The family would like to thank Halo Hospice for the wonderful, tender care they provided for our mom.

In lieu of flowers, the family says those who wish may make memorials to the charity of your choice.
