Services for Rita Kaye Engel, 76, of Ada are 2:00 pm Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Chad Large will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Rita passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 in Ada. She was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Oscar and Loretta (Odom) Chappell August 18, 1948.

Rita loved her family first and foremost, she loved dancing, driving fast, frogs, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, researching genealogy, music, concerts, traveling and most of all Her Heavenly Father. Rita rock and rolled through life, she worked as a Paralegal for Bob Bennett Law Firm and at Vision Bank, owned a feed store, was president of BPW, sold Mary Kay Cosmetics, was a truck driver and even competed to be Ms. Sr Oklahoma.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Hilliard; brother, Donald Ray Chappell; her parents, Oscar and Loretta Chappell; grandson, Andrew Ritchie; and a great grandson, Brayden Manning.

Rita is survived by two sons, John (Angie) Engel of Ada, Brian (Johna) Engel of Ada; sister, Patricia Warmker, Edmond; grandchildren, Peyton Engel, Colton Engel, Amelia Engel and Kylie Engel; great grandchildren, Caitlin Manning, Hunter Manning, Bryndle Engel, and Dawson Engel.

Bearers are John Hart, Colton Engel, Peyton Engel, Grady Martin, Clark Kinkade and Lonnie Bartmess.
