Services for Katie Jean Walkup Anderson, 78, Stonewall, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Randall Christy will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. Mrs. Anderson died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born April 21, 1933 … She married John Heas Anderson on January 5, 1954. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1996.

Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and also had worked at the Stonewall Senior Citizens Site, volunteered at Carl Albert Indian Hospital, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was of the Baptist faith and had formerly been a member of the First Baptist Church of Del City.

Survivors include two sons, John E. Anderson, Ada, and Donald A. Anderson of Stonewall; a daughter, Kelli Reneé Gay, Raymore, MO; two sisters, Shirley Noe, Ada, and Carolyn Knight of Florida; three brothers, Paul Walkup and Jerry Walkup of Ada, and Danny Walkup of Moore; seven grandchildren, Megan Guinn, Abilene, TX, Shayna Stone, Stonewall, Danyelle Anderson, Dallas, TX, Colton Anderson, Torri Anderson and Hayley Anderson, all of Stonewall, and Tyler Gay, Raymore, MO; and four great grandchildren, Kannon Stone and Kase Stone, both of Stonewall, Ava Guinn, Abilene, TX, and Lawson Mize, Stonewall.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Walkup, Richard Walkup, and J. E. Walkup; and three sisters, Ann Humes, Betty Walkup and Billye Walkup. Bearers will be Luke Stone, Colton Anderson, Roger Anderson, Steve Walkup, Steve Walkup Jr., and James Gay.
