Services for Michael Wayne Weems, 49, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center in Ada, Rev. Ellis Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at High Hill Cemetery. A Wake Service will start at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the family home, 17376 CR 3540, Ada.

Mr. Weems passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home. He was born May 26, 1968 at Ada to Franklin D. R. and Galela Ann Walton Weems. He attended Murray State College in Tishomingo.

He married Loraine Hamilton December 12, 1997 in Ada. Mr. Weems was a general laborer for the Chickasaw Nation. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and he was a fisherman.

Survivors include his wife Loraine, of the home; his four children, Autumn Underwood, Taylor Weems, Savannah Weems and Hunter Weems, all of the home; his mother, Galela Hammons and husband Johnny, Ardmore; his step-mother, Viola Weems, Ada; four brothers, Steven Kaniatobe, Bochito, James Weems, Ada, Lucky Weems, Ada and Steven Walton and wife Andrea, Ada; three sisters, Tamara Guthrie and husband James, Ada, Angelina Luethje and husband Scott, Stillwell and Felicia Jackson and husband John, Ada; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandmother, Elsie Walton; paternal grandparents, Ben and Stella Hamilton; and a sister, Sarah Elizabeth Weems.

Bearers will be Randall Walton, Jon Hamilton, Hershel Hamilton, David Hamilton, Aaron Hamilton, Anthony Weems and David Reed. Honorary bearers will be Steven Walton, Lucky Weems, James Weems, Jimmy Guthrie, James Guthrie, Tristian Wilson and Steven Kanitobe.
