Services for Bessie Juanita “Tootsie” Smith, 74, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the High Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Randy Golden will officiate. Burial will follow at the High Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her home. She was born March 24, 1941 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Jess and Maggie Cooper Miller.
She married Jack Smith on September 10, 1957 in Coalgate, Oklahoma. She was a member of High Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was a cook at the Homer School Cafeteria for many years.
Survivors include her husband Jack Smith of the home; one daughter, Jackie Williams and Brian England; two sons, Ed Smith and wife Judy and Larry Smith and wife Liz; one sister, Dean Starns; seven grandchildren, Jake Williams, Justin Smith, Kendra Sparks, Tammy Castillo, Cassie Smith, Ryan Smith and Macy Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Aspen Williams, Laney, Josey and Hazen Sparks, Braxton Castillo, Mackenzie Davis and Jordyn Layton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, R.G., Jimmy and Lloyd Miller.
Bearers will be Justin Smith, Michael Miller, Gary Starns, Ronnie Miller, Keith Miller and Jake Williams. Honorary bearers will be Ben Wainscott, Brian England, James Miller, Billy Starns and Tommy Sanders.
