Services for Edwin Neil Burris, 63, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Crosspointe Church, Pastors Shawn Wiebers and Chad Large will officiate. Burial will follow at High Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Burris died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home. He was born November 17, 1951 in Talahina, Oklahoma to M.B. (Mose) and Willie (Nora) Stick Burris. Mr. Burris grew up in the Lula area and attended Tupelo School.

He was a self-employed carpenter and painter. Mr. Burris was member of the Crosspointe Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Angela Fowler and husband Scott of Del City, Ok and Elizabeth Ellis and husband Jeremy of Ada; one son, Patrick Burris and wife Tiffany of Happyland; five grandchildren, Hailey Ellis, Jayson Ellis, Jarrett Ellis, Treston Burris and Jayden Ellis; two sisters, Winnie Fox of Del City, Ok and Alyne Burris of Ada; two brothers, David Burris and Hoyt Burris and wife Karen, both of Ada; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Doris O’Neal, Nearthur Mozella Burris, Sebena Burris and Mary Burris Coughran and one brother Gabe Burris.

Bearers will be Buddy Tartsah, Stewart Ryan, Bo Tomlinson, Rick Miller and Graig Cheek. Honorary bearers will be Hoyt and David Burris.
