Services for Matilda Marie “Tillie” Benson, 64, of Ada, were 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Toney Buck and Robert Greenwood officiated. Burial followed at High Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Benson passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Ada. She was born August 1, 1952 in Ada to Edward Jerome and Odecia Louise Alexander Benson. She attended schools in Ravia and Sequoyah and East Central University.

She retired from the Chickasaw Nation where she had worked for many years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Cara Buck, Lori Rico and Brooke Williams, all of Ada; a sister, Brenda Benson of Ada; her father, Jerome Benson of Ardmore; a brother, Glen Bralley of Newcastle; six grandchildren, Ryan Rico, Sadie Criswell, Maryanne Criswell, Riley Youngblood, Reece Harjo and Louella Wolfe.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Odecia Benson and sister, Louella Garcia Benson.

Bearers were Tim Harjo, Jay Harjo, Mark Alexander, Cecil Alexander, Conjot Harjo, Brent Greenwood and Jason Eyachabbe. Honorary bearers were Ryan Rico, Riley Youngblood, Reece Harjo, Glen Bradley, Eric Carmichael, Phillip Jackson, Clint Hoevker and Colton Cheatwood.
