Graveside services for Jodie Everett Young, 76, of Roff, are 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at East Hill Cemetery, Dr. Rusty Fuller and Greg King will officiate.

Mr. Young passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Burford Manor in Davis. He was born March 30, 1944 at Chickasha, OK to J. E. “Doc” and Derotha Lee (Dot) Young. He graduated from Rush Springs High School.

Jodie married Judith Kay “Judy” Williams May 30, 1965. She preceded him in death July 31, 2014. Mr. Young was the Assistant Fire Coordinator for SODA (Southern Oklahoma Development Association) and had also worked for Chester-Belcher Propane and James Harden Propane in Sulphur. He was of the Baptist faith.

Jodie joined the Roff Volunteer Fire Department in 1965 and served on the Department for over 30 years. He was the Fire Chief for the department for 15 + years.

Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Henderson and her husband David of Ada; a granddaughter, Calli Jo Henderson of Stillwater; and a brother, Rick Young and wife Martha of Chickasha.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy; and a brother, Rusty Young.

Bearers will be Tom Young, Jerry Coast, Darrel Richardson, Wes Harden, Trey Barbee, Jay Burrows and Steve Burrows.
