Helen Lorene Proffitt, 98, of Ada passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at an Ada assisted living center. She was born April 27, 1922 at Ahloso to Samuel and Gertie Carmichael Brandon.

She married Kenneth Baker. He preceded her in death. She later married Raleigh Proffitt. He preceded her in death June 24, 2005. Mrs. Proffitt was an Elementary School Teacher in Albuquerque, NM until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Baker, Laurel, MD; a son, Garry Baker and wife Cathy, Ada; and a sister, Marie Hill, Ada; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Ray Baker.

Burial was at East Hill Cemetery, Roff.
