Services for Arbra Wallace “AW” Pierce, 77, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the First United Pentecostal Church, Rev. Daniel Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery near Roff. The U.S. Navy Honor Guard will conduct military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Pierce left this earth Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Galena, Missouri. He was born January 30, 1941 at Frederick, OK to John Henry and Rosie Mae Ogletree Pierce.

AW proudly served his country enlisting February 19, 1956 in the U.S. National Guard and on January 30, 1958 in the US Navy with a rank of Machinist Mate Third Class. He was assigned to Shore Patrol and Master of Arms for 10 years. He was Chief of the Brigg at the time of his retirement. He retired from the Navy on March 31, 1977. Mr. Pierce was a veteran of the Vietnam War after serving four tours of duty.

AW married Carolyn Ann Haley September 13, 2012 in Ada. AW loved the Lord and his church family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on various projects, forging knives with his son, teaching gun safety to his grandchildren, spending time with family, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn “Ann” Pierce, of the home; sons, John (Pam) Pierce, Terry (Shanna) Pierce, Michael (Ashley) Pierce and Joshua Pierce; daughter, Samantha McKay; step-children, James Deaver, Haley (Mathew) Taylor and Chrystal Foster; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Mary Susan Pierce; sons, Preston, Tony and Wallace Pierce; daughter-in-law, Donna Pierce; granddaughters, Melissa and Amanda Pierce; his parents, John Henry and Rosie Mae Pierce; eight brothers; and six sisters.
