Services for Jack Russell Bunyard, 62, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, OK, Rev. Brian Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery at Roff, OK.

Mr. Bunyard passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born September 20, 1954 in Ada to Fred and Oleta Bunyard. Jack was a lifelong resident of Ada. He graduated from Byng High School where he was active in speech and drama. He went on to attend East Central University in Ada where he was a member of the “Oklahomans” and the PHI KAPPA TAU fraternity.

He married his wife Carol on July 30, 1976, and together they had two children; Amber and Russell. Jack’s career as a sales and finance professional in the auto industry spanned over four decades. Throughout those years, he became a mentor and friend to many who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.

Survivors include his wife, Carol, of the home; a son, Russell Bunyard and wife Jennifer of Ada; daughter, Amber Carey and husband Nicholas Carey of Ada; five beloved grandchildren, Caden, Olivia and Liam Carey, Vincent and Victoria Bunyard; a brother, Steve Bunyard and wife Taffi of Ada; two nephews, Jeremy Bunyard, Allan Bunyard and wife Samantha; a niece, Megan Bunyard;; and other relatives and family; his beloved pet and companion til the end Boomer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Oleta Bunyard.

Bearers will be Byron Snyder, Scott Robinson, Mike Braley, Ric Towers, Christian Jackson and Douglas Kelly. Honorary bearers are close friends who Jack had the honor of working with throughout his career in the auto industry.
